The USRA  American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports polished off the mid-July weekend on Saturday at the Mighty Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, OK. With bonus money on the line, VP Racing Fuels Rookie of the Year contender Sam Osman parked his Lobo Racing MB Customs in Victory Lane.

After Trevor Hughes and David Tanner picked up the two heat race wins, via the six car redraw, Osman led the field to the green. He immediately grabbed the lead, leaving Kenny Gaddis to fend off Hughes and Joe Duvall. Hughes dispatched Gaddis setting his sights next on Osman. The field continued to work along the cushion around the top of the speedway, it became clear that Hughes was going to have a tough time running down the leader.

Just eight laps into the race, Jacob Twomey ran into trouble as transmission issued ended his night early. When the field came back to green it was much the same as Osman nailed the restart and ran away on the top side of the racetrack. Behind the top two, Duvall, Sean Gaddis, Jacob Campbell and Brent Holman had a spirited battle  for positions three through six.

At the VP Checkers, Osman collected his first ever victory at the Tri-State Speedway and his first with the ARMS Modifieds. Hughes, Duvall, Gaddis, and Campbell completed the top five.

Joe Duvall continues to lead the way in series standings. Philip Houston sits in the runner up spot. Sam Osman rides in third and Chase Hatton holds down fourth. With a good weekend under his belt, Trevor Hughes moved into fifth.

Up next for the ARMS Presented by Day Motor Sports is a pair of early August shows in Louisiana. Friday, August 2, the series heads to Sabine Speedway. Saturday, August 3, the show rolls into Boothill Speedway. Both events will be available on RacinDirt, as well as RaceOn.
