In Louisiana, there are a few things more synonymous with the Cajun state than craw fish boils, LSU football games, and Mardi Gras. It might be time to add Chris Henigan in victory lane to the list.

Starting on the outside of the front row, Henigan blasted to the lead over pole sitter John Whittington. Things stayed much the same laps later as the pair approached traffic before Whittington raised issue with the turn two outside fence. Whittington gathered himself back up and managed to hold on to second, but Henigan was gone.

Just past the halfway point the only Midwest Sheet Metal caution of the race waved giving Whittington another chance. Henigan quickly doused the flames on any late race heroics, immediately marching back out front and away from the field. Claiming yet another win in the Ark-La-Tex area, Chris’ performance was backed up by his son Dustin who claimed the final spot in the top five.

Heat race wins went to Kenny Gaddis, Jon Mitchell and Lee Patton.

Saturday the ARMS Presented by Day Motor Sports moves to Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, Louisiana. It marks the first time there this season. Boothill has been a mainstay on the series schedule since it's inception.

Hot laps are slated for 7:30 PM, with racing shortly after at Boothill Speedway. The event will be live on RacinDirt.tv and RaceOn for those unable to be at the track.
