This weekend will see the American Racer Modified Series Presented by Day Motor Sports back in action for a pair of shows at a familiar place, Ark-La-Tex Speedway, located in Vivian, Louisiana. The event will honor Ark-La-Tex area racing living legend Doug Ingalls.

“Man, Doug had a storied career,” commented Ark-La-Tex region broadcast personality Zack Clark. “His dad raced and he has three boys who race as well, with Jason being most familiar to Modified fans. Doug is a member of the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame, NCRA Champion and SUPR Champion. He's legendary racer. The entire Ingalls family is synonymous with Ark-La-Tex racing. They are super people and held in the highest regard!”

It's been a month since the series was last in action. Joe Duvall captured the last VP Checkered flag at the 105 Motor Speedway in Cleveland, Texas. He is also holding down the points lead. Sam Osman is 141 markers back in second place.

Third in the points belongs to Chase Hatton, with Philip Houston residing in fourth. Completing the top five is Kenny Gaddis.

Earlier in the season The ARMS raced at Ark-La-Tex Speedway. Sean Gaddis and Tyler Townsend were victorious.

Originally, these were the final two events on the ARMS calendar for the season. However, one additional date has been added. Thursday, November 7, the tour will crown a champion at Heart 'O Texas Speedway in Elm Mott, Texas. This event will be ran the night prior to the USMTS two day championship weekend.
