The Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La., roared with excitement on Friday for the opening night of Donnie’s Birthday Bash featuring the USRA American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports.

The event, part of the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series, showcased thrilling races the USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods, USRA Limited Mods and Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks divisions

In the USRA Modified main event, Manuel Williams II of Fouke, Ark., claimed a $1,500 victory in a hard-fought battle with Sean Gaddis of Diana, Texas, who eventually secured second, followed by Gary Christian of Broken Bow, Okla.

Kale Westover of Altus, Okla., finished fourth, and second-generation gasman Dustin Henigan of Marshall, Texas, rounded out the top five.

The USRA B-Mod feature saw Talan Willis of Elizabeth take the checkered flag with a commanding performance. Cody King of Fanshawe, Okla., finished second, while Dustin Henigan of Marshall, Texas, earned third. Coty Tupper of Blanchard claimed fourth, and Hayden Brown of Minden completed the top five.

In the USRA Limited Mod feature, Connor Mewborn of Texarkana, Texas, led the field to victory. Colby Mewborn, also of Texarkana, Texas, took second, followed by Stephen Guidry of Marksville in third. Chase Hatton of De Berry, Texas, finished fourth, and Callan Hill of Lawton, Okla., secured fifth.

The Sunoco USRA Factory Stock feature was won by Gary Harvin of Fouke, Ark., who outpaced the competition. Joshua Martin of Colfax finished second, with Dakoda Wyatt of Provencal taking third. Toby Davis of Rodessa earned fourth, and Doug Vick Jr. of Vivian rounded out the top five.

Donnie’s Birthday Bash concludes Saturday night with the USRA American Racer Modified Series racing for $2,000 to win, joined by USRA B-Mods, USRA Limited Mods, Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks, Pro Mods and Sportsters.
