67 & Ark-La-Tex Cancelled, "Texas Two-Step" purse at Route 66 Grows

Due to circumstances outside of USRA ARMS series officials control, the August 22nd and 23rd stops at both 67 Speedway of Texarkana and Ark-La-Tex Speedway have been cancelled.
Ark-La-Tex Speedway has just undergone a mid-season change in ownership. Both tracks voiced concerns over other issues they felt would negatively impact those dates. Track and series officials agreed to the cancellations, with hopes of finding better dates in the future.
We would like to thank both 67 Speedway’s Tim and Laura Crawley, as well as Ark-La-Tex promotor Kenneth Chamberlin and their new owner Remington Budd for the open dialogue leading up to this decision.
Turing attention to the next scheduled event, teams will now have plenty of time to gear up for the next weekend on the ARMS calendar. October 10th and 11th the series will make it’s annual trek out to the Texas panhandle for the “Texas Two-Step” at Route 66 Speedway in Amarillo, TX.
Through increased marketing efforts, track officials with the Route 66 Speedway have announced that the events are now expected to pay $4,000 to win Friday night and $6,000 to win Saturday night, with a possible total of $12,000 added to both nights combined in addition to the standard series purse each night. Final purse details and breakdown will be announced at a later date.
