ARMS goes Two-Steppin' in Texas at Route 66

Grain Valley, MO (October 7, 2025) - Firing back off for the first time since July 19th, the USRA American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports heads to the Texas Panhandle this weekend for the Texas Two-Step at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas. The two-night event on Friday and Saturday, October 10–11, will feature the region’s best Modified racers battling for $4,000 to win on Friday and $6,000 to win on Saturday. Each night’s A-Main pays $350 to start.

Last year’s single-night ARMS appearance at Route 66 was claimed by Woodward, Oklahoma’s Cole Traugott, who held off fellow Oklahoman Kale Westover for the win. Westover, now the current series points leader, returns to Amarillo looking to go one spot better and strengthen his hold on the championship with just four events remaining on the 2025 schedule.

The top five in series points — Westover, Sean Gaddis, Manuel Williams II, Joe Duvall, and Jamie Burford — remain separated by fewer than 100 points, setting the stage for a pivotal weekend as all five contenders are expected to be in attendance.

Two-time defending track champion Sammy McNabb will lead the local charge, joined by Route 66 regulars A.J. Sharpensteen, Derek Scott, Leland Cruz, and others eager to defend their home turf. The pits will be stacked even deeper with regional standouts Carlos Ahumada Jr., Jake and Fito Gallardo, and Philip Houston all rumored to make the trip, while national heavyweights Rodney Sanders, Tanner Mullens, and Gary Christian Jr. are also expected to compete — making this one of the most talent-packed weekends of the ARMS season.

Following the Texas Two-Step weekend in Amarillo, the USRA American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports will close out its 2025 campaign with the season finale at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday and Saturday, November 7–8. With the championship still up for grabs and major money on the line, all eyes will be on the Lone Star State showdown to decide this year’s ARMS champion.
