USRA American Racer Modified Series Releases 2026 Schedule

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (Jan. 18, 2026)—The USRA American Racer Modified Series (ARMS) presented by Day Motor Sports has officially announced its 2026 schedule, outlining a wide-ranging season of USRA Modified competition that will span four states and feature a mix of high-profile specials, regional fan favorites, and major championship events.

The 2026 campaign kicks off with a two-night season opener at Big O Speedway in Ennis, Texas, on April 24–25. Joining the POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprints for the weekend, the opening Texas double header will give teams a chance to kick off the year in a big way and immediately begin building momentum as the tour heads into the heart of the schedule.

Late May brings one of the most anticipated weekends on the ARMS calendar with a return trip to Oklahoma for Joe Duvall’s Funkadelic Dirt Track & Honky Tonk Extravaganza. The two-night special will also feature a showdown against the USRA Heartland Modified Tour, creating a must-see crossover event for Modified fans. The weekend begins May 22 at Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Oklahoma, and continues May 23 at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma. Both events have listed rain dates with Arrowhead scheduled for July 17 and Salina slated for July 18 if weather becomes a factor.

June shifts the spotlight to Louisiana for a brand-new marquee event as ARMS returns to Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, Louisiana, for the inaugural Battle of the States. The Boothill Speedway created event will feature a unique two-day format and special event pay scale, with technical support and series championship points on the line towards the 2026 ARMS Championship.  The event launches with a dedicated practice session on June 4, followed by race nights on June 5–6, setting up a three-day stretch designed to draw drivers from multiple regions and showcase the Ralo Pilkington and Bubba Jones owned facility.

“We’re glad to have ARMS on board in support of the new 2026 Battle of the States event featuring the USRA and ARMS modifieds. We are working on a unique event weekend, race format, and purse structure to not only feature, but help revitalize modified racing in the Northwest Louisiana area., said Bubba Jones. “Once we get details finalized, we will get that all released as soon as possible, but I think it will be something people will get excited about.”

Immediately after Boothill, the tour heads to Arkansas for one of the most unique weekends in modified racing, the Topless Mod Short Track Nationals at Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas. Another special event that promises to be a must-see, a practice day is scheduled for June 11, leading into the two-night race program on June 12–13.  While final details are still in the works, fans and race teams can expect a fun weekend of racing featuring a format that borrows some of the same elements from the 410 Short Track Nationals, all while teams take the roof and sail panels off allowing race fans a rare glimpse inside the cockpit of the mighty modifieds as they hustle around the Southwest Arkansas clay.

Promoter of the 67 Speedway Tim Crawley had this to say: “Our weekly modified racing here last season was strong.  My goal has been to create a special event for each of our weekly classes here at 67 Speedway, and we had yet to put something together for the modifieds.  I’ve always liked seeing modifieds and late models run topless and thought that would be a unique twist on the event.  Working together with the ARMS series for the weekend, we’re looking forward to putting together an event people will enjoy.”

The summer run continues through Arkansas with Centerville Speedway in Centerville on July 10, followed by Diamond Park Speedway in Nashville on July 11, before returning to Texas for a July 25 stop at Rocket Raceway Park in Petty.

As the season enters its final stretch, ARMS will travel west for a marquee weekend at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, on October 10–11—a late-season doubleheader that could prove critical in shaping the points picture.

The schedule then builds to the annual season-ending showcase at the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Deuces Wild Championship Weekend, once again in cooperation with POWRi, set for November 5–7. The three-night event will provide a fitting finale with national spotlight energy as the tour crowns its 2026 champions.

“We’re excited to have the ARMS series back with us twice this year in Texas,” stated POWRi series director Talin Turner.  “They’ve been super easy to work with, bring a great product to the racetrack, and make a great addition to our program. We’re looking forward to seeing them kick off and end their season with us at the track.”

While the initial 2026 calendar delivers a strong slate of key weekends and signature events, series officials noted that the schedule is not necessarily complete. Additional dates are likely to be added as negotiations continue with several tracks, with the goal of expanding the tour to a full 20-race slate if possible. More announcements are expected as those discussions are finalized and new events are confirmed.

The season will close with the ARMS Awards Banquet on November 21 at Hochatown Saloon in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, where drivers, teams, and supporters will be recognized for their accomplishments throughout the year.

All dates are subject to change, with additional announcements regarding special-event formats and details forthcoming as they are finalized.
